frequently asked questions

what age range is MURO for?

We recommend 12 months to 4 years old with our current range of toys but we will always be looking to expand this with our new product launches. In 2021 we are planning to release a series of games that will increase the range up to around 5 years.

what makes your toys educational?

Our toys have been designed in collaboration with educational experts to encourage children to explore the world around them with their hands and their senses. This playful approach to learning and early-years has shown great results in Scandanavian countries. If you would like to know more please read our Building Brains and Empowering Playscapes blog articles.

do the toys come in different colours?

We are not able to offer different colours at the moment but as we start to produce in higher volumes it is something that we hope to do. Until then we try to balance our love of natural wood with children's love of colour.

is muro eco-friendly?

Yes, we're not perfect but we're always looking for innovative ways to reduce our impact on the environment. The majority of our toys are made from rubberwood which is considered waste-product from the latex industry (read more), and the other wood we use is birch ply-wood from FSC Approved sources.

All our packaging is made from recyclable paper, and we try to minimise use as most as possible whilst ensuring your MURO arrives in perfect condition.

But we think the best way to be kind to the environment is to use less, so we have build a product that will last for generations, helping you and your children to consume less.

We're also kind to environment because of the design of our products, read more here.

where is MURO made?

We work closely with our manufacturer based in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. After looking all over Europe and China for a factory this one was by far the best, they have their own ranges that they have been producing since 1983 so they know a thing or two about making toys.

What's even better is that they are situated in the heart of the Vietnam's latex industry so all the rubberwood we use is grown on the door step.

what materials do you use?

We use a combination of rubberwood and birch plywood for our products.

is it easy to setup and install?

Yes, it's very easy to get started with your MURO. You can see our assembly instructions here.

what are the benefits of MURO?

MURO is a beautiful toy that engages children of a broad age range in fun activities that teach them key skills whilst they play. Thanks to its modular design MURO can be adapted to suit children's stage of development and current obsessions. Simple puts, it entertains children for hours throughout their childhood.
